Victorian Backlot
The Victorian Backlot offers eight preserved structures from the late 1800s and early 1900s across approximately 10 acres of landscaped grounds just north of Downtown Los Angeles, available for exterior and interior filming. The collection includes residential homes, a historic church, and civic buildings in various states of restoration, giving productions a range of period looks — porch fronts, garden setbacks, mature trees, and historic pathways — within a single controlled footprint. The variety across the structures supports period scenes including Victorian Los Angeles, small-town Americana, late 19th century residential, and early 20th century neighborhood settings, depending on framing and dressing. Interior filming is available in addition to exterior coverage, allowing scenes to move between inside and outside at the same address. The campus is accessible for large vehicles with ample on-site parking. Film credits include Saving Mr. Banks, Legally Blonde, Lessons in Chemistry, Drunk History, I Think You Should Leave, Another Period, and Perry Mason, among many others across film, television, and commercial production.
